• Permitted uses

  Personal, non-commercial reading and enjoyment; fair-use quotation (brief excerpts for review, criticism, academic citation, or commentary) with attribution; sharing links to this site. Educators may quote short excerpts in non-commercial instructional materials with attribution.

• Prohibited uses

  Reproduction, redistribution, or transmission of any content in any form without prior written permission; commercial use of any kind; adaptation, translation, or derivative works; framing or embedding content in other websites or applications; scraping or bulk downloading for AI training datasets or model fine-tuning.

This site is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. The following describes what is collected, why, and for how long.

• Data collected

  Contact form submissions (name, email address, and message content) are the only personal data voluntarily collected. No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or third-party data brokers are used. No cookies are set beyond any strictly necessary for site function (none are currently required).

• How it is used

  Contact form submissions are transmitted via Resend (a transactional email service) and delivered as email to the site owner. Submissions are not stored in any database on this server and are not used for marketing or passed to third parties.

• Data retention

  Resend may retain transmission logs for a period consistent with their own privacy policy. Email messages received from contact submissions are retained in the site owner's email inbox at their discretion and may be deleted upon request.

• Your rights

  You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have submitted. To exercise these rights, contact contact@josephbrindley.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". Requests will be acknowledged within 30 days.

• Third-party services

  Resend is used for contact form delivery and is subject to Resend's Privacy Policy. Comments on Folio entries are handled through a custom system using Neon (PostgreSQL) for storage and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Authentication for commenting is handled via NextAuth. Any data submitted through the comment system is stored on Neon's infrastructure and subject to their privacy policy.
